Description

Sweet Heat Watermelon Crunch Bites are a refreshing appetizer that combines the sweetness of watermelon with a spicy kick.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups watermelon (cubed, seeds removed)
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp Tajín seasoning (optional)
  • 1 tbsp fresh mint (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Place watermelon cubes into a large bowl.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk lime juice, honey, sugar, and salt until combined.
  3. Pour the mixture over the watermelon and gently toss.
  4. Sprinkle chili powder, cayenne, and Tajín over the top.
  5. Toss lightly again to coat evenly.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh mint before serving.
  8. Serve cold for a crisp, juicy, sweet-heat bite.

Notes

  • Adjust the level of spice by adding more or less cayenne pepper.
