Description

A savory dish featuring tender steak bites and succulent shrimp coated in a rich butter soy glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 lb beef steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • ½ lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Ingredients: Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces and pat them dry. Peel and devein the shrimp. Mince the garlic and chop the green onions.
  2. Cook the Steak: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Cook the Shrimp: Add more olive oil if needed. Cook shrimp for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  4. Make the Butter Soy Glaze: Lower heat to medium and melt butter. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Stir in soy sauce, honey, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Combine Everything: Return steak and shrimp to the pan. Toss everything together to coat evenly. Drizzle with lemon juice and cook for another minute.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot with rice, noodles, or vegetables.

Notes

  • Adjust the level of spice by modifying the amount of red pepper flakes.
  • This dish pairs well with steamed rice, noodles, or a side of vegetables.
