Description
Delicious pizza boats topped with pepperoni and melted cheese, perfect for a fun meal or snack.
Ingredients
Scale

- 1/2 tsp sea salt
 - 18 slices of pepperoni
 - 8 oz bag of shredded cheese for pizzas
 - 24 oz jar of marinara or spaghetti sauce
 - 16 oz package of lean ground turkey (99% fat-free)
 - 16 oz loaf of rustic Italian bread
 - 1 tsp dried Italian herbs

Instructions
- Set your oven to 450°F. Place some parchment paper on a baking tray.
 - Slice the Italian bread open along its length. Remove a bit of the softer middle part, then press down to make a shallow well and leave a border.
 - Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a nonstick skillet on medium-high. Break up the turkey into crumbles as you cook it. Add salt and the Italian seasoning to flavor it.
 - Stir the marinara sauce into the pan with the turkey. Let everything heat through for a couple of minutes.
 - Spread about a cup of meat sauce over each piece of bread. Sprinkle about a cup of shredded cheese on top, and evenly scatter the pepperoni slices.
 - Bake for roughly 10 to 12 minutes until the cheese is gooey and melted. Cut into pieces and serve with extra sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes
- Feel free to customize with additional toppings like bell peppers or olives.
 - For a spicier version, use spicy pepperoni or add chili flakes.
 - These can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving.
