Description

A rich and indulgent no-bake cheesecake dessert loaded with chocolate, perfect for chocolate lovers.


Ingredients

  • 18 Oreo cookies
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon dark chocolate, melted
  • 4 ounces brick-style cream cheese, softened
  • 8 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
  • ¾ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon Baileys Irish Cream or Kahlua, optional
  • ½ teaspoon salt, optional and to taste but recommended
  • ½ cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×9-inch pan with aluminum foil for easier cleanup and spray with cooking spray; set aside.
  2. Add Oreos (whole) to the canister of a food processor and process on high speed until fine crumbs; set aside.
  3. In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine melted butter and 1 tablespoon chocolate, heating until smooth.
  4. Pour the melted chocolate and butter mixture into the food processor, process to incorporate, and turn crumb mixture out into the prepared pan, packing it to form an even flat crust layer; set aside.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, add cream cheese and beat with a handheld electric mixer on high speed until fluffy; set aside.
  6. In a separate microwave-safe bowl, combine chopped chocolate and heavy cream. Heat in 30-second increments until chocolate melts and mixture is silky, approximately 90 seconds total.
  7. Transfer the creamy chocolate mixture to the bowl with cream cheese and beat on high power until smooth and well combined.
  8. Optionally add liquor and/or salt, mixing well.
  9. Spread the mixture evenly over the crust.
  10. Sprinkle with mini chocolate chips and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or overnight before serving. Cover with foil after it has sufficiently chilled.

Notes

  • Cover with foil after the dessert is well chilled to avoid condensation.
  • Recommended to use salt to balance the richness of the chocolate.
