Description

Condensed Milk Pecan Balls are a delicious no-bake treat made from pecans and sweetened condensed milk, coated in rich chocolate.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup pecan halves plus chopped pecans for garnish
  • 14 ounce sweetened condensed milk
  • 1½ tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups dark chocolate candy melts

Instructions

  1. Add the pecan halves to a food processor. Pulse pecans a few times, then grind on low until they reach a sandy, coarse texture.
  2. Next, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, flour, and vanilla extract in a saucepan over medium heat until the flour is completely incorporated.
  3. Stir the ground pecans into the condensed milk mixture once it’s combined and slightly warm, then continue cooking for about 8 to 10 minutes until the mixture has thickened.
  4. Pour the pecan mixture into a 9×9 baking dish, cover tightly with plastic wrap, and chill in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Use a 1 tablespoon cookie scoop to scoop out the pecan filling and roll them into balls.
  7. Chill the balls in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  8. Melt the dark chocolate candy melts in a microwave safe bowl, heating in 30 second increments.
  9. Dip each pecan ball into the melted chocolate using a fork, shaking off the excess.
  10. Sprinkle or roll them in chopped pecans for garnish, if desired, and chill for 20 more minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Dampen your hands to prevent the pecan filling from sticking as you roll them into balls.
  • Make sure to melt the chocolate slowly to avoid burning.
