Caramel Apple Puppy Chow is a sweet and crunchy snack that combines the flavors of caramel and apple in a delightful treat.

- 10 cups Rice Chex™ Apple Cinnamon cereal, divided
- 2 cups granola
- 1 cup green candy melts
- 1 cup lime green candy melts
- 2 teaspoon shortening
- 1 cup vanilla cake mix, divided
- 2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, divided
Instructions
- Pour 5 cups of Chex cereal into a medium sized bowl. Pour the other 5 cups of Chex cereal into another medium sized bowl. Set aside.
- You will need two Ziplock storage bags. In one Ziplock storage bag, mix vanilla cake mix, granola, and ground cinnamon. In the other Ziplock storage bag, mix vanilla cake mix, granola, and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
- Melt the green candy melts, and shortening and lime green candy melts, and shortening in separate microwavable bowls. Pour the melted green candy melts over one bowl of Chex cereal. Pour the melted lime green candy melts over the other bowl of Chex cereal. Gently stir to coat the cereal.
- Pour one cereal mixture into one of the prepared Ziplock bags and pour the other cereal mixture into the other Ziplock bag. Seal the bags and shake until all the cereal is coated with the cinnamon cake mixture. Pour each mixture together in a large bowl and gently mix together. Drizzle with caramel topping and enjoy!
