Description

Blueberry Pie Bombs are delicious, easy-to-make treats featuring flaky dough filled with sweet blueberry pie filling, coated in cinnamon sugar.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8-count) Grand biscuits (not flaky layers or crescent roll dough or Crescent Dough Sheet)
  • 1 cup blueberry pie filling (or homemade recipe)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup cinnamon/sugar blend

Instructions

  1. Separate the biscuits into two layers and place them on a clean surface.
  2. Roll out each layer of the dough with a rolling pin or with your hands until it is about 4 inches in diameter. (You will have 16 circles.)
  3. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the blueberry pie filling into the center of each circle. Pinch the edges together to seal it. Roll the dough into balls.
  4. Brush all sides of the bombs with the melted butter, and roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  5. AIR FRYER: Spray the air fryer basket or racks with oil to keep the bombs from sticking. Lay bombs in a single layer in the air fryer basket or racks, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  6. Air fry at 330°F for about 6-7 minutes. Gently wiggle the bombs to loosen them from the baskets.
  7. Continue to air fry for another 1-2 minutes, or until they are crispy brown and cooked through. Serve warm.
  8. OVEN BAKE: Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the bombs onto the baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the bombs are a nice golden brown color. Serve warm, so the berry filling is soft and gooey!

Notes

  • Ensure the biscuits are fully sealed to avoid leaking filling.
  • Experiment with different pie fillings such as cherry or apple.
  • Best served warm right out of the air fryer or oven.
