Description

Baked Shrimp Toast is a delicious and easy appetizer featuring a garlic shrimp mixture spread on crispy baguette slices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 baguette, sliced into ½-inch pieces
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled, deveined, and finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ¼ cup sesame seeds (optional, for topping)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the shrimp mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, minced garlic, mayonnaise, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ground ginger, and beaten egg. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  3. Assemble the toast: Spread each slice of baguette generously with the shrimp mixture. Sprinkle the top with sesame seeds if using.
  4. Bake: Arrange the prepared toasts on the lined baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the shrimp is fully cooked and the edges of the bread are golden and crispy.
  5. Serve: Allow the shrimp toast to cool slightly before serving. They can be garnished with additional chopped green onions or a drizzle of sriracha for extra heat.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add to the shrimp mixture or serve with extra sriracha.
  • Make sure the shrimp is finely chopped for even cooking and better spread on the toast.
