Description

Deliciously festive 4th of July Red White & Blue Candied Patriotic Sparkle Apples, perfect for celebrating Independence Day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 medium red apples, washed, dried, stems removed
  • 4 cups white chocolate chips
  • blue sparkling sanding sugar or blue sprinkles
  • popsicle sticks

Instructions

  1. Line a cookie sheet with wax or parchment paper and set aside. Add the sprinkles to a bowl. Set aside.
  2. Place a popsicle stick into the center of each apple.
  3. Pour the white chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 30 seconds. Remove and stir. Continue for 15 second intervals until completely melted.
  4. Dip each apple into the melted white chocolate leaving 1/3 of the red apple showing. Let the excess white chocolate drip back into the bowl.
  5. Carefully hold the apple over the sprinkle bowl and use a spoon to sprinkle the bottom portion of the white chocolate apple with blue sprinkles.
  6. Next, place the dipped and sprinkled apple onto the prepared cookie sheet and let the chocolate harden completely.

Notes

  • Ensure the apples are fully dry before dipping to help the chocolate adhere better.
  • If using a microwave, monitor closely to prevent burning the chocolate.
