Description

A refreshing watermelon fruit salad featuring cherries, perfect for summer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups seedless watermelon, cubed
  • 1 ½ cups fresh cherries, pitted and halved
  • 1 tbsp lime juice (or lemon juice)
  • 1 tsp maple syrup (optional, depending on sweetness)
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 1 tbsp fresh mint, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Fruit: Cut the watermelon into bite-sized cubes and pit/halve the cherries. Add both to a large mixing bowl.
  2. Make the Dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together lime juice, maple syrup (if using), and a pinch of salt.
  3. Toss and Mix: Pour the dressing over the fruit and gently toss until evenly coated.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with fresh mint just before serving. Enjoy immediately or chill for 15–20 minutes.

Notes

  • Chilling the salad enhances the flavors.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup.
