Description

A delicious and indulgent sandwich featuring gooey melted cheese and savory ground beef, perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 slices sourdough or white bread
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef. Break up the meat as it browns, ensuring even cooking. Add the chopped onion and garlic, stirring until the onion turns soft and translucent.
  2. Add salt and pepper to taste, then pour in the Worcestershire sauce and beef broth. Let the mixture simmer until the broth reduces, making sure the beef is flavorful and moist.
  3. Spread softened butter on one side of each bread slice. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  4. Place two slices of bread, butter side down, in the preheated skillet. Layer each slice with shredded cheddar cheese, followed by a generous portion of the ground beef mixture. Top with mozzarella cheese and cover with the remaining bread slices, butter side up.
  5. Cook the sandwiches for about 3–4 minutes on each side, pressing down gently to help the cheese melt. Flip carefully when the bread turns golden and crispy, cooking until the cheese is fully melted.
  6. Slice each sandwich in half, sprinkle with fresh parsley for garnish, and enjoy your warm, melty Ultimate Cheesy Ground Beef Melt!

Notes

  • Dairy-Free Cheese: Swap out the cheddar and mozzarella for dairy-free options.
  • Gluten-Free Bread: Substitute with your favorite gluten-free bread if desired.
  • Ground Turkey or Chicken: Use ground turkey or chicken as a leaner alternative to beef.
