Description

A delicious and cheesy pepperoni stromboli, baked to perfection and served with marinara sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 prepared pizza dough, rolled into a 30×40 cm rectangle
  • 130 grams mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 60 grams pepperoni, sliced
  • 25 grams Parmesan cheese, finely grated
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning blend
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 120 millilitres marinara sauce, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Set oven to 190°C to ensure even baking temperature.
  2. Roll pizza dough into a 30×40 cm rectangle on a lightly floured surface, maintaining even thickness.
  3. Distribute shredded mozzarella cheese evenly across the dough, leaving a 2.5 cm border. Arrange sliced pepperoni over the mozzarella.
  4. Sprinkle grated Parmesan and Italian seasoning evenly over the pepperoni layer.
  5. Tightly roll the dough from the long side, tucking in the ends as you go. Ensure seam is on the underside.
  6. Place rolled dough seam-side down on a greased baking tray. Brush surface with beaten egg for a glossy, golden finish.
  7. Cut small diagonal slits along the top to allow steam to escape during baking.
  8. Bake in preheated oven for 25–30 minutes until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbling.
  9. Cool for several minutes before slicing into portions. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
