Ingredients
Scale
- 225 grams freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 3 medium yellow onions
- 2 tablespoons avocado oil
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 0.5 teaspoon seasoning salt
- 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions

- Spread the freshly grated parmesan cheese in an even, thin layer over the parchment-lined baking pan.
- Slice the yellow onions into very thin rings, approximately 4 millimetres wide using a mandolin for uniformity. Arrange the onion rings in a single layer over the parmesan.
- Lightly brush the onion rings with avocado oil, ensuring an even coating.
- Sprinkle the paprika, coarse sea salt, garlic powder, seasoning salt, and black pepper evenly over the onions.
- Transfer the pan to the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the onion rings and cheese develop a golden, crispy texture.
- Allow the onion ring chips to cool on the pan for at least 10 minutes, then break into pieces and serve.
Notes
- Using a mandolin ensures even slicing for better cooking results.
- You can adjust the spices to your preference for additional flavor.
