Description

A delightful blend of sweet strawberries and spicy jalapeños to create a unique jam that tantalizes your taste buds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups diced strawberries
  • 1 cup diced jalapeños (with seeds for spiciness)
  • 1.75 oz box fruit pectin
  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 4 cups sugar

Instructions

  1. Place diced strawberries, diced jalapeños, and pectin in a large pot. Smash it together until the strawberries break down and the pectin is dissolved.
  2. Stir in apple cider vinegar.
  3. Over medium heat, bring the mixture to a boil.
  4. When the mixture has reached a steady boil, stir in sugar, one cup at a time. Boil contents for 1 minute.
  5. Remove from heat and pour jam into pint-size jars. To avoid a mess, you may want to use a funnel.
  6. Allow jam to cool completely before placing the lids on.

Notes

  • Adjust the number of jalapeño seeds according to your heat preference.
  • Ensure jars are sterilized before filling.
  • This jam pairs well with cream cheese and crackers or as a glaze for grilled meats.
