Description

Hey there, fellow busy bees! If you’re anything like me, juggling work, family, and life can sometimes feel like a three-ring circus. That’s where my beloved recipe for Steak and Queso Rice comes in. This dish is the answer to your weeknight dinner dilemmas—quick to make, packed with flavor, and oh-so-comforting! Just imagine bites of tender steak drizzled with creamy queso, all snuggled comfortably atop fluffy rice. It’s just the hearty, satisfying meal your family will love after a long day. Plus, it’s the perfect way to show off your cooking skills without spending hours in the kitchen!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 pound steak, sliced into thin strips
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup queso cheese sauce
  • Optional Toppings: ½ cup diced tomatoes
  • Optional Toppings: ¼ cup chopped cilantro

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season steak strips with garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Cook until browned and tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Reduce heat to low. Pour queso cheese sauce over the steak and stir until coated and heated through.
  4. Add the cooked rice to the skillet and mix well with the steak and queso sauce.
  5. Stir in diced tomatoes if desired. Serve warm, garnished with cilantro if using.
