Description

A delicious and flavorful seafood boil butter sauce perfect for enhancing your seafood dishes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 450 g salted butter
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 8 cloves garlic, diced
  • 60 ml Cajun seasoning
  • 30 ml Old Bay seasoning
  • 15 ml onion powder
  • 20 g brown sugar
  • 15 ml red pepper flakes
  • 240 ml chicken stock
  • 30 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 15 g fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Melt the salted butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook for 5 minutes until softened. Stir in the garlic and continue to cook for another 3 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Incorporate the Cajun seasoning, Old Bay, onion powder, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes. Stir well and cook for an additional 5 minutes to blend flavours.
  3. Pour in the chicken stock, stir thoroughly, and bring the mixture to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 6–8 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
  4. Remove pan from heat. Stir in the lemon juice and fresh parsley. Serve warm over seafood or use as a dipping sauce.
