Delicious raspberry sweet rolls filled with jam and fresh raspberries, perfect for a delightful dessert or breakfast treat.

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup raspberry jam or preserves
- 1/2 cup fresh raspberries
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let stand for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add sugar, melted butter, and egg, whisking until well combined.
- Gradually add flour, stirring until a soft dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let rise in a warm place for 60-90 minutes until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and roll it out on a floured surface into a large rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Spread raspberry jam evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border. Scatter fresh raspberries over the jam.
- Starting from one long edge, tightly roll the dough into a log.
- Using a sharp knife or dental floss, cut the log into 12 equal pieces.
- Arrange the rolls in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, leaving small gaps between them.
- Cover and let rise for another 30-45 minutes until puffy.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown on top.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes before dusting generously with powdered sugar. Serve warm.
Notes
- Make sure the milk is warm but not hot to activate the yeast.
- You can use frozen raspberries if fresh are not available.
- These rolls can be stored in an airtight container for a few days.
