Description

Delicious pumpkin spice donuts frosted with cinnamon-sugar, perfect for fall.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For the Cinnamon-Sugar Coating: 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan thoroughly with non-stick spray or butter.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, pumpkin puree, eggs, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the donuts light and fluffy.
  5. Transfer the batter to a piping bag or a ziplock bag with the corner cut off. Pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the donuts comes out clean. Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  7. In a shallow bowl, mix together granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  8. While the donuts are still warm, roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.

Notes

  • Store any leftover donuts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
  • For an extra treat, drizzle with a simple glaze made of powdered sugar and milk.
