Delicious pumpkin spice donuts frosted with cinnamon-sugar, perfect for fall.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- For the Cinnamon-Sugar Coating: 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan thoroughly with non-stick spray or butter.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger.
- In another bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, pumpkin puree, eggs, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the donuts light and fluffy.
- Transfer the batter to a piping bag or a ziplock bag with the corner cut off. Pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the donuts comes out clean. Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- In a shallow bowl, mix together granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
- While the donuts are still warm, roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
Notes
- Store any leftover donuts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
- For an extra treat, drizzle with a simple glaze made of powdered sugar and milk.
