Description

Pizza Supreme Sliders are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer filled with gooey cheese, savory toppings, and a flavorful sauce, perfect for parties or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon cracked red pepper flakes
  • 1 package (12 count) sweet Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 cup marinara sauce, divided
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 14 ounce jar marinated artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 1 small green bell pepper, seeded and diced very small
  • 4 ounces sliced pepperoni
  • 2.25 ounce can sliced black olives, drained

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the grated Parmesan, olive oil, vinegar, butter, garlic, oregano, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Do not pull the rolls apart. Instead, using a large serrated knife, slice the rolls in half (like you would a bagel) so you have a top and bottom ‘slab.’
  4. Place the bottom layer into the prepared baking pan, cut side up, then spread with half of the marinara sauce.
  5. Top with 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese, artichoke hearts, bell pepper, pepperoni, olives, and finish with the remaining 1 cup shredded cheese.
  6. Spread the remaining marinara sauce on the cut side of the top slab of rolls and place onto the sandwiches.
  7. Slowly and evenly pour the oil/butter mixture over the rolls. Let stand for 5 minutes.
  8. Cover the pan with foil. Bake for 18-20 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil from the baking pan, return the sliders to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 5 minutes until rolls are golden.
  10. Let rest for 5 or so minutes, then cut into individual sandwiches and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For added spice, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
  • These sliders can be customized with your favorite pizza toppings.
