  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar, packed light or dark
  • 1/2 TBSP Ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • PEACH JAM
  • 16 oz Peaches, or 34 medium peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 3/4 cup White granulated sugar
  • 1 TBSP Lemon juice
  • CINNAMON CRUMB TOPPING
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar, packed light or dark
  • 1/4 cup White granulated sugar
  • 1/2 TBSP Ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • PEACH CREAM CHEESE ICING
  • 4 oz Cream cheese, room temperature
  • 4 TBSP Unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 2 tsp Pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar, sifted
  • 12 TBSP Milk

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk in the microwave until 110°F. Sprinkle the yeast on top and let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, and sugar. Add the cubed butter. Use a pastry cutter, a fork, or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour.
  3. Add the milk/yeast mixture and the lightly beaten eggs. Use a stand mixer with a dough hook and mix on low until a dough starts to form, then knead for 5 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 200°F. Place the dough in a sprayed bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  5. In a medium saucepan, mix the peaches, sugar, and lemon juice over medium heat. Cook for 5-10 minutes until it becomes a jam. Let cool.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix the crumb topping ingredients and bake for 8 minutes. Let cool completely.
  7. Using a mixer, beat the filling ingredients until smooth. Roll out the dough and spread the filling on top, followed by the cooled jam and half of the crumb topping.
  8. Roll the dough into a log and cut into 12 even rolls. Place in a sprayed 9X13-inch pan and let rise for 20 minutes.
  9. Preheat oven to 375°F and bake the rolls for 23-26 minutes until golden.
  10. For icing, beat butter and cream cheese, then add powdered sugar and vanilla, mixing until smooth. Add milk until desired consistency is reached.
  11. Spread icing on hot rolls and sprinkle with remaining crumb topping. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For the dough, you can also make it by hand if you don’t have a stand mixer.
  • Feel free to use store-bought peach jam as a shortcut.
  • The rolls can be served warm for the best taste experience.
