Instructions
- Warm the milk in the microwave until 110°F. Sprinkle the yeast on top and let sit for 10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, and sugar. Add the cubed butter. Use a pastry cutter, a fork, or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour.
- Add the milk/yeast mixture and the lightly beaten eggs. Use a stand mixer with a dough hook and mix on low until a dough starts to form, then knead for 5 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 200°F. Place the dough in a sprayed bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
- In a medium saucepan, mix the peaches, sugar, and lemon juice over medium heat. Cook for 5-10 minutes until it becomes a jam. Let cool.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix the crumb topping ingredients and bake for 8 minutes. Let cool completely.
- Using a mixer, beat the filling ingredients until smooth. Roll out the dough and spread the filling on top, followed by the cooled jam and half of the crumb topping.
- Roll the dough into a log and cut into 12 even rolls. Place in a sprayed 9X13-inch pan and let rise for 20 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F and bake the rolls for 23-26 minutes until golden.
- For icing, beat butter and cream cheese, then add powdered sugar and vanilla, mixing until smooth. Add milk until desired consistency is reached.
- Spread icing on hot rolls and sprinkle with remaining crumb topping. Serve warm.
Notes
- For the dough, you can also make it by hand if you don’t have a stand mixer.
- Feel free to use store-bought peach jam as a shortcut.
- The rolls can be served warm for the best taste experience.
