Description

Delicious and zesty muffins infused with orange flavor and semi-sweet chocolate chips.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup milk
  • ⅓ cup melted unsalted butter
  • 2 whole oranges for juice and pieces
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 380°F.
  2. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt into a bowl. Set aside.
  3. Cut one orange in half, press out juice, and reserve.
  4. Peel the second orange and slice it into chunks.
  5. In another bowl, add the egg, sugar, milk, orange pieces, juice, and butter.
  6. Mix with a hand mixer or whisk until combined.
  7. Pour the liquid mixture over the dry ingredients.
  8. Mix minimally to create a moist batter.
  9. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  10. Spoon batter into silicone or paper-lined muffin pans and bake for 25 minutes.

  • For best results, use fresh oranges.
  • Let the muffins cool for a few minutes before serving.
