Description

A delicious one-skillet meal featuring spicy sausage and pasta coated in a sweet and tangy honey BBQ sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz Rotini Pasta
  • 12 oz Spicy Sausage (Andouille or Italian), sliced
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup BBQ Sauce (smoky or honey-based)
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Chili Powder or Cayenne Pepper (adjust to taste)
  • Salt & Pepper, to taste
  • Fresh Parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the rotini pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook the Sausage: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned and caramelized, about 5–7 minutes. Remove sausage from skillet and set aside.
  3. Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, add a bit more olive oil if needed. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant and golden.
  4. Make the Sauce: Add BBQ sauce, honey, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir well and simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Combine and Toss: Return the cooked sausage to the skillet along with the drained pasta. Toss everything until the pasta and sausage are evenly coated.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle fresh parsley over the top and serve hot. Enjoy!
