- 1 ¾ cups powdered sugar
- 3 large egg whites (room temperature)
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup Nutella (for drizzling)
- Food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Sift together almond flour and powdered sugar until lump-free.
- In a clean bowl, whip egg whites on medium speed until frothy. Gradually add granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
- If using food coloring, fold it into the meringue gently.
- Fold dry ingredients into the egg whites until just combined, then pipe small circles onto prepared sheets.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until firm to the touch; let cool before removing from parchment.
- Melt Nutella slightly and drizzle over cooled macarons.
