Description

Delicious Mediterranean Greek Chicken Burgers infused with fresh herbs and creamy feta cheese, perfect for a flavorful meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ¼ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh mint, chopped (optional)
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground chicken
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for binding)
  • Olive oil, for cooking
  • Burger toppings: sliced tomatoes, red onion, lettuce, tzatziki sauce, or pita bread

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, feta, parsley, mint, garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, egg, and breadcrumbs. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Shape mixture into 4–6 evenly sized patties. Avoid overworking to keep burgers tender.
  3. Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat (or preheat a grill). Cook patties 5–6 minutes per side, until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  4. Serve on buns or pita with your choice of toppings: lettuce, tomato, red onion, and a generous dollop of tzatziki sauce.

Notes

  • Extra juicy: Mix in a tablespoon of plain Greek yogurt into the patty mixture
  • Spicy kick: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes
  • Cheese swap: Use goat cheese or halloumi for a twist
  • Meal prep: Cook patties ahead and refrigerate up to 3 days; reheat before serving
