Description

A creamy and flavorful crab dip that embodies the taste of Maryland, perfect for sharing at gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 225 g cream cheese, softened
  • 120 ml mayonnaise
  • 110 g shredded cheddar cheese
  • 5 ml Worcestershire sauce
  • 5 ml Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 5 ml lemon juice
  • 225 g lump crab meat, picked over for shells
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Set oven to 190°C. Lightly grease a small baking dish or ramekin.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, shredded cheddar, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, minced garlic, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth.
  3. Gently fold in the lump crab meat and chopped parsley, ensuring crab pieces remain intact.
  4. Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish. Bake for 20–25 minutes until the top is golden and bubbling.
  5. Present warm alongside toasted baguette slices, crackers, or fresh vegetables. Optionally, garnish with additional chopped parsley.

Notes

  • For a spicier dip, add more Old Bay seasoning.
