- Fresh dill sprigs, optional
Instructions
- Prepare cucumber base: Wash and dry the cucumber thoroughly. Slice into 16 thick rounds approximately 0.5 inch thick each.
- Mix cream cheese filling: Combine softened cream cheese, chopped dill, lemon juice, and black pepper in a small bowl. Mix until smooth and well incorporated.
- Assemble cream cheese topping: Using a small spoon or piping bag, distribute approximately 1 teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture onto each cucumber round.
- Add smoked salmon: Gently fold or roll smoked salmon slices and place on top of the cream cheese layer.
- Final garnish and chill: Top each bite with capers and a small dill sprig if desired. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 hours.
