Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 8 slices bacon, thin-cut
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Divide trimmed asparagus into 8 equal bundles.
  3. Drizzle asparagus with olive oil, then sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  4. Wrap one slice of bacon snugly around each asparagus bundle, overlapping slightly. Place seam-side down on prepared baking sheet.
  5. Roast in oven for 18 to 20 minutes until bacon is crisp and asparagus is tender.
  6. Remove from oven, sprinkle each bundle with Parmesan cheese, and return to oven for 2 to 3 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
  7. Serve immediately while hot from the oven.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • Fresh asparagus works best, but frozen can be used if thawed and patted dry.
