- 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
- 8 slices bacon, thin-cut
- 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Divide trimmed asparagus into 8 equal bundles.
- Drizzle asparagus with olive oil, then sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
- Wrap one slice of bacon snugly around each asparagus bundle, overlapping slightly. Place seam-side down on prepared baking sheet.
- Roast in oven for 18 to 20 minutes until bacon is crisp and asparagus is tender.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle each bundle with Parmesan cheese, and return to oven for 2 to 3 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
- Serve immediately while hot from the oven.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes.
- Fresh asparagus works best, but frozen can be used if thawed and patted dry.
- Be sure to check the bacon for doneness, as thickness may vary.
