Description

Ingredients

  • 1 package (14 ounces) cocktail sausages (lil smokies)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Chopped fresh parsley or sliced green onions, for garnish (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant, stirring continuously.
  2. Add the cocktail sausages to the skillet and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and heated through.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together honey, hot sauce, and soy sauce until well combined.
  4. Pour the prepared sauce over the browned sausages. Stir to evenly coat all pieces.
  5. Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly and attains a glossy finish. Remove from heat.
  6. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes and garnish with chopped parsley or green onions, if desired. Serve warm with toothpicks.
