A delicious grilled flank steak paired with a fresh Caprese salad, combining flavors of garlic, tomatoes, and mozzarella.

- 680 grams flank steak
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 300 grams cherry tomatoes
- 225 grams fresh mozzarella balls
- 0.5 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 3 tablespoons balsamic glaze or reduced balsamic vinegar
Instructions
- In a zip-top bag or shallow dish, combine olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Add flank steak and ensure it is thoroughly coated. Refrigerate and marinate for at least 60 minutes or up to 8 hours.
- Preheat a grill to medium-high heat. Remove steak from marinade and discard excess. Place steak on the grill and cook for 4 to 5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness is reached.
- Transfer steak to a cutting board and let rest for 5 to 10 minutes. Slice thinly against the grain for tenderness.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and chopped basil. Lightly drizzle with olive oil and season with a pinch of salt.
- Arrange steak slices and Caprese salad on a serving platter. Drizzle balsamic glaze over the top just before serving.
Notes
- For best flavor, marinate the steak overnight.
