- 4 whole chicken thighs or breasts
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter or olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, finely minced
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream or whole milk
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning blend
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter or warm olive oil. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in heavy cream, then whisk in grated Parmesan and Italian seasoning. Cook, stirring, until sauce is smooth and cheese has melted.
- Arrange chicken pieces in the greased baking dish in a single layer. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Pour the garlic Parmesan sauce evenly over the chicken.
- Bake uncovered for 35 to 45 minutes, or until internal temperature of chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) and sauce is bubbling.
