Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup pure honey
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (thick)
  • 8 soft corn or flour tortillas
  • diced avocado
  • fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients by finely chopping the garlic and measuring out spices.
  2. Sear the beef in a skillet over medium-high heat with 1 tablespoon of butter until browned on both sides (4-5 minutes).
  3. Lower the heat and add minced garlic, honey, BBQ sauce, and remaining butter; stir to combine.
  4. Cover and simmer on low for about 3 hours until the meat is fork-tender.
  5. Shred the beef with two forks, return it to the skillet, and mix well with the sauce.
  6. Warm tortillas briefly in another pan, then fill them with shredded beef and desired toppings.

Notes

  • Substitute with chicken or pork if desired.
  • Can add cheese or sour cream as additional toppings.
