Description

Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwiches are a deliciously decadent dessert combining sweet cream cheese, fresh strawberries, and buttery fried bread, perfect for a delightful treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices brioche or challah bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter, for frying
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced thin
  • 1/4 cup strawberry preserves or jam
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons whole milk
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar in a mixing bowl until completely smooth and fluffy.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over four slices of bread, leaving a small border. Layer with thinly sliced strawberries and top each with strawberry preserves. Place the remaining bread slices on top and press gently to seal.
  3. In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs and whole milk until fully blended.
  4. Carefully dip each assembled sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides thoroughly.
  5. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Place coated sandwiches in the pan and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crisp. Remove to paper towels to absorb excess butter.
  6. Dust sandwiches with powdered sugar, cut diagonally, and serve immediately while warm.

Notes

  • For a fruity twist, you can substitute strawberries with other fruits like raspberries or blueberries.
  • Make sure to use fresh strawberries for the best flavor.
  • These sandwiches are best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in the refrigerator for a short time.
