Description

A quick and delicious casserole made with ground beef, rice, and cheese, perfect for a family meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup (1 can)
  • 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup (1 can)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1.5 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add onion and green bell pepper, cooking until softened. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef and vegetable mixture, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, cooked rice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir thoroughly.
  4. Pour the combined mixture into the greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired, and serve hot.
