Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius) and grease a 9-inch pie dish generously.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Whisk until smooth, then add eggs one at a time, whisking after each addition, followed by vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and any optional nuts or additional chips.
- Spoon the cookie dough into the prepared pie dish, spreading evenly, and smooth the top gently.
- Bake for 35–45 minutes until edges are golden brown and the center is slightly soft, covering with foil if necessary.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 15–20 minutes before slicing.

- For best results, ensure the butter is melted and allowed to cool slightly.
- Do not overmix the dough to avoid a dense pie.
