Description

Deep-Fried S’mores are a delightful twist on the classic campfire treat, featuring gooey marshmallows, chocolate, and crunchy graham crackers, all enveloped in a crispy batter.


Ingredients

  • 6 graham cracker sheets, broken into halves
  • 6 large marshmallows
  • 6 small pieces of milk chocolate (or chocolate bars, broken into small pieces)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 egg
  • ¾ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Assemble the S’mores: Place a piece of chocolate on a half graham cracker sheet, top with a marshmallow, and cover with another graham cracker sheet to create a s’more sandwich. Repeat for all 6 pieces.
  2. Prepare the Batter: In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, egg, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Heat the Oil: Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Coat the S’mores: Dip each assembled s’more into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated.
  5. Fry the S’mores: Carefully drop the battered s’mores into the hot oil and fry for about 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  6. Serve: Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.
