Description

Chocolate Peppermint Brownie Balls are a festive treat combining the rich flavor of chocolate brownies with refreshing peppermint.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box standard brownie mix including required ingredients as per package directions
  • 1/2 cup chocolate frosting
  • 8 oz Ghirardelli melting chocolate
  • 1 cup crushed candy canes, divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and spray a 9×13 inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray. Prepare brownie batter according to package instructions and pour evenly into the prepared pan.
  2. Bake brownies for 25 to 30 minutes until set. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely at room temperature.
  3. Crumble cooled brownies into a large mixing bowl using your hands. Add chocolate frosting and mix thoroughly until a thick, dough-like consistency forms. Fold in 1/4 cup of the crushed candy canes.
  4. Portion dough using a cookie scoop and roll into uniform balls. Arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Melt the Ghirardelli melting chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring between each until fully smooth.
  6. Dip each brownie ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring full coverage. Place coated balls back onto the parchment-lined sheet.
  7. Immediately sprinkle remaining crushed candy canes over wet chocolate coating. Allow the coating to set completely before serving or storing.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
  • For a stronger peppermint flavor, add a few drops of peppermint extract to the brownie mixture.
