Description
Cheesy Taco Breadsticks are a delicious snack made with seasoned ground beef and cheese rolled in pizza dough, baked until golden brown.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix or homemade taco seasoning
- 1 tube Pillsbury Pizza Dough
- 5 colby jack and cheddar cheese sticks, halved
- 4 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried parsley
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F and lightly coat a large baking sheet with non-stick spray. Set aside.
- Cook ground beef in a skillet, breaking it up with a wooden spoon until fully browned and crumbled. Drain any fat, return the skillet to the stove top, mix in the taco seasoning (no water), stir until coated, and let cool to room temperature.
- Spread the pizza dough flat, cut it in half lengthwise, and then make 4 vertical cuts to create 10 small rectangles.
- Place about a tablespoon of taco meat in the center of each rectangle, top with a halved cheese stick, and carefully roll up the dough, pinching all seams closed.
- Combine melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley in a small bowl. Brush this mixture over the tops of the taco sticks.
- Bake the sticks for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot with your favorite taco toppings.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add jalapeños or hot sauce to the filling.
- These breadsticks can be served with salsa or sour cream for dipping.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated in the oven.
