Description

Cheesy Ranch Potatoes and Smoked Sausage is a delicious and savory dish that’s easy to prepare and packed with flavor. Perfect for gatherings or a hearty family meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound smoked sausage (halal-certified, no pork)
  • 4 cups baby potatoes, halved or quartered
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (make sure it’s halal-certified)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of your favorite cheeses)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (optional, for serving)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the halved baby potatoes with olive oil, ranch seasoning mix, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Toss until the potatoes are well-coated.
  3. Spread the seasoned potatoes evenly in a baking dish.
  4. Slice the smoked sausage into pieces and add it to the dish over the potatoes.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork-tender and golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve hot, with a dollop of sour cream on top if desired, and garnish with fresh parsley.
