A comforting and cheesy chicken dish cooked in a slow cooker, featuring sausage and potatoes.

- 680 grams red potatoes, diced into 1.25 cm cubes
- 450 grams chicken breast, cut into 2.5 cm cubes
- 400 grams kielbasa sausage, sliced into thin rounds
- 1 small white onion, finely diced
- 250 grams cheddar cheese, shredded
- 120 millilitres sour cream
- 120 millilitres heavy cream
- 298 grams canned cream of chicken and herbs soup
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Lightly grease the insert of a slow cooker. Layer diced potatoes, chicken breast cubes, sliced kielbasa, diced onions and 200 grams of shredded cheddar cheese in the slow cooker.
- In a mixing bowl, thoroughly whisk together cream of chicken and herbs soup, sour cream, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
- Pour the mixed sauce evenly over the ingredients in the slow cooker. Gently stir to distribute the sauce and seasoning throughout.
- Sprinkle the remaining 50 grams of cheddar cheese evenly over the surface.
- Cover and cook on low setting for 6 to 8 hours, or on high for 5 hours until potatoes and chicken are thoroughly cooked and onions are tender.
Notes
- Adjust seasoning to taste based on preference.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or spinach for additional flavor.
