Description
Cheesecake Crescent Rolls Casserole is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert combining creamy cheesecake filling wrapped in crescent rolls, topped with a buttery cinnamon-sugar crust.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish to ensure easy release.
- Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, pinching seams to seal.
- In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese with 1 cup granulated sugar and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Evenly spread the cream cheese mixture over the crescent dough layer in the baking dish.
- Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and lay it over the cream cheese layer, again pinching seams together for a uniform surface.
- Brush melted butter over the top crescent roll layer. In a small bowl, combine ground cinnamon with 2 tablespoons sugar, then sprinkle the mixture evenly on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crisp.
- Allow casserole to cool for at least 20 minutes to set before slicing into squares. Optionally, drizzle with honey prior to serving.
Notes
- Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened for easy mixing.
- Allowing the casserole to cool longer will help it set better.
- Drizzling with honey is optional but adds a delightful touch.
