- 397 g caramels, unwrapped
- 120 ml evaporated milk
- Brownie Base
- 425 g German chocolate cake mix
- 80 ml evaporated milk
- 170 g unsalted butter, melted
- 30 g pecans, chopped
- Chocolate Layer
- 340 g chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 175°C. Generously coat a 23 x 33 cm baking pan with non-stick spray and set aside.
- Place unwrapped caramels and 120 ml evaporated milk in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir frequently until fully melted and smooth.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, 80 ml evaporated milk, melted butter, and chopped pecans. Stir until a thick, cohesive dough forms.
- Press half of the brownie dough evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 8 minutes. Meanwhile, refrigerate the remaining dough.
- Remove pan from oven. Evenly distribute chocolate chips over the baked layer, then drizzle melted caramel sauce on top.

- For a nut-free version, omit the pecans.
