Description

A delicious Cajun shrimp and salmon dish in a rich garlic cream sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, sprinkle shrimp and salmon fillets with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the salmon fillets skin-side down. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through and flaking easily. Remove and set aside with the shrimp.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and lemon juice, stirring constantly. Allow the sauce to simmer for 3-4 minutes until it thickens slightly. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed.
  6. Return the shrimp and salmon to the skillet, gently mixing them in the garlic cream sauce. Let cook together for an additional 2 minutes to warm through and infuse flavors.
  7. Remove from heat and transfer the seafood to a serving platter, drizzling with more garlic cream sauce.
