Description

Cajun Garlic Chicken Wings that are crispy, flavorful, and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1.2 kg chicken wings, separated at joints, tips removed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 4 large garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil, and set a wire rack on top if available.
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to ensure crispiness.
  3. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Add the wings and toss thoroughly to coat.
  4. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared rack or baking sheet, ensuring ample space between each wing.
  5. Roast for 35–40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are golden, crispy, and cooked through.
  6. Meanwhile, in a small pan over low heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and gently cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant (do not brown).
  7. Transfer the hot wings to a large bowl. Pour the garlic butter over and toss to coat evenly.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra spice, increase the amount of cayenne pepper.
  • Make sure wings are well-spaced on the baking sheet for even cooking.
  • Feel free to adjust the seasoning to suit your taste.
