Description
A comforting breakfast dish that combines fluffy biscuits and rich sausage gravy, perfect for hearty morning meals.
Ingredients
Scale

- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 16-ounce cans jumbo butter biscuits
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 15-ounce cans creamy sausage gravy
- 1 pound ground pork or sausage
Instructions
- Set your oven to 375℉ and lightly coat a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish with some grease or nonstick spray.
- Take one can of biscuits, cut them into bite-sized pieces, and spread across the casserole dish. Pop it into the oven for 12–15 minutes, just enough to cook them halfway.
- In a large skillet, cook your ground pork or sausage until browned and crumbled. Once done, drain off the grease and scatter this on top of the biscuits.
- Use the same pan to heat up the canned sausage gravy. Stir now and then on medium heat until it gets a slight golden-brown color. Pour the gravy over the meat layer in the dish.
- Sprinkle some black pepper on top of the sausage gravy once you’ve poured it in.
- Cut the biscuits from the second can and neatly place them in one layer directly over everything in the dish.
- Let it cook uncovered for 10 minutes. Cover it with foil and continue baking for another 15 minutes.
- After baking, brush the top layer of biscuits with melted butter for a golden finish.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider using sage or other herbs in the sausage mixture.
- This dish can be made ahead of time and reheated for convenience.
- Feel free to substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
