Ingredients

Scale
  • 90 g quick-cooking oats
  • 90 g rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 475 ml non-dairy milk
  • 1.5 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons chopped chocolate
  • Fresh fruit
  • Nut butter

Instructions

  1. Add quick-cooking oats, rolled oats, cocoa powder, and salt to a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the cocoa is evenly distributed and the mixture is uniform.
  2. Pour non-dairy milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and chia seeds into the saucepan. Mix thoroughly to combine all ingredients.
  3. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats reach a creamy, thickened consistency.
  4. Divide the hot oatmeal into serving bowls. Top each portion with chopped chocolate and add desired toppings such as fresh fruit or nut butter. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup.
  • You can substitute the non-dairy milk with any milk of your choice.
  • Add nuts or seeds for extra crunch and nutrition.
