Description

A flavorful and hearty Beef Pepper Rice Bowl that’s easy to make and will delight your taste buds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 bell peppers (any color), sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup uncooked jasmine rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Start by cooking the jasmine rice. In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of uncooked jasmine rice with 2 cups of beef broth. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for about 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let it sit for another 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until translucent. Then, add the ground beef and break it apart as it cooks. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, and drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the sliced bell peppers and minced garlic to the skillet and stir. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until the peppers soften and infuse with garlic flavor.
  4. Add the cooked jasmine rice to the beef and vegetable mixture. Pour in the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, ground black pepper, paprika, and salt to taste. Mix well and heat through for about 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Spoon the mixture into bowls and garnish with chopped green onions before serving. Enjoy your Beef Pepper Rice Bowl!
