Description
Delicious and easy banana donut holes that are perfect for a sweet treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup Banana (1 large banana)
- 3/4 cup Self-Rising Flour
- 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/4 cup Unrefined Sugar
- 2 tablespoons Coconut Oil (melted, or melted vegan butter)
- 2–3 teaspoons Melted Coconut Oil
Instructions
- Mash the banana into a smooth puree, ensuring you have 1/2 cup, or the batter won’t come together with the appropriate flour ratio.
- Add in the flour and stir with a rubber spatula until it starts forming lumps. Oil your hands and knead until it forms a dough ball, using a bit of oil to prevent sticking.
- If the dough is too sticky, you can add up to a maximum of 2-3 tablespoons of flour, but avoid over-flouring.
- Grease hands with melted coconut oil, take about a tablespoon of dough, roll it into a ball, and place it on a plate covered with parchment paper.
- Repeat until all dough is formed into balls, and then spray them with avocado oil.
- Spray oil in the air fryer basket and place the donut holes with 1 inch spacing.
- Air fry at 350°F (180°C) for 6-7 minutes or until they are puffy and golden brown.
- Brush each warm ball with melted coconut oil, then roll in cinnamon sugar.
- Serve warm immediately.
Notes
- Make sure to mash the banana well for the right consistency.
- Use a rubber spatula to avoid damaging the batter.
- The dough should remain moist and elastic, not dry.
- For best results, use unrefined sugar for a healthier option.
