Description

Delicious and easy banana donut holes that are perfect for a sweet treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup Banana (1 large banana)
  • 3/4 cup Self-Rising Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup Unrefined Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut Oil (melted, or melted vegan butter)
  • 23 teaspoons Melted Coconut Oil

Instructions

  1. Mash the banana into a smooth puree, ensuring you have 1/2 cup, or the batter won’t come together with the appropriate flour ratio.
  2. Add in the flour and stir with a rubber spatula until it starts forming lumps. Oil your hands and knead until it forms a dough ball, using a bit of oil to prevent sticking.
  3. If the dough is too sticky, you can add up to a maximum of 2-3 tablespoons of flour, but avoid over-flouring.
  4. Grease hands with melted coconut oil, take about a tablespoon of dough, roll it into a ball, and place it on a plate covered with parchment paper.
  5. Repeat until all dough is formed into balls, and then spray them with avocado oil.
  6. Spray oil in the air fryer basket and place the donut holes with 1 inch spacing.
  7. Air fry at 350°F (180°C) for 6-7 minutes or until they are puffy and golden brown.
  8. Brush each warm ball with melted coconut oil, then roll in cinnamon sugar.
  9. Serve warm immediately.

Notes

  • Make sure to mash the banana well for the right consistency.
  • Use a rubber spatula to avoid damaging the batter.
  • The dough should remain moist and elastic, not dry.
  • For best results, use unrefined sugar for a healthier option.
