Description

Bacon Wrapped Smokies are a delicious and irresistible party snack, featuring savory smoked sausages wrapped in crispy bacon and coated with a sweet and spicy glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (14-ounce) package Smoked Lil Smokies
  • 15 slices bacon uncooked, cut into thirds
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried cayenne powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF (177ºC). Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  2. Wrap each smokie with a bacon piece, overlapping ends, then secure it with a toothpick.
  3. Mix brown sugar and cayenne pepper in a shallow bowl, then firmly press each smokie in the mixture to coat generously.
  4. Place in a single layer on the prepared pan and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until bacon is browned.
  5. Flip the sausages and continue to cook for another 20-30 minutes or until the bacon is browned on the second side.
  6. Remove from the oven and serve.

Notes

  • For an alternate cooking method, try using an air fryer to make bacon wrapped smokies.
  • Ensure that the bacon is cut into thirds for easier wrapping.
  • You can adjust the amount of cayenne powder to suit your spice preference.
