Description

Bacon Grilled Cheese is the ultimate comfort dish featuring crispy bacon and melted cheddar cheese sandwiched between two slices of Texas Toast.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices Texas Toast
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 8 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 Tablespoons mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Preheat a large skillet over medium high heat.
  2. Spread the mayonnaise on 1 side of each piece of bread.
  3. Place the bacon on the skillet and cook to your desired doneness. Once cooked, place the bacon on a plate lined with a paper towel.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and drain off any extra grease. Then place one half of the bread onto the skillet with the mayonnaise side down.
  5. Top the bread with 2 slices of cheese, then 2 slices of bacon and then place the other piece of bread on top of cheese with mayonnaise side up.
  6. Heat the sandwich for 2-4 minutes until the bottom piece of bread is golden brown. Flip and cook the opposite side sandwich for 2-4 minutes.
  7. Remove the sandwich to a plate. Let the sandwich rest for 2-3 minutes so that the cheese is not too hot.
  8. Cut in half and enjoy!

  • Feel free to customize by adding your favorite ingredients like tomatoes or avocado.
  • For an extra crispy texture, consider grilling the sandwich with additional butter.
